Big Brothers exists to give a hand up, not a hand out. We understand that sometimes bad things happen to good people, and in the spirit of helping our neighbors, we provide assistance all year long to those who are simply trying to get through what folks around here call "hard times."
Big Brothers of Mt. Juliet will offer a one-time helping gift up to $100, once a year, to any family or person who fits our criteria. Individuals, School Faculty, concerned citizens and organizations from across West Wilson County, may Big Brothers regarding individuals and families who need assistance. When a family is experiencing short term difficulties with paying an electrical bill, water bill, heating bill, sewer bill, rent, needing food for their family, medications, etc., we have a committee that takes the request, investigates them and makes a decision on whether help is needed.
We cannot serve everyone, and our boundries fall only in West Wilson County, west of Hwy. 109 and the western Wilson/Davidson County line.
Please call our Help Line number at (615) 641-0577.
Big Brothers of Mount Juliet welcomes all to join us for any stated meeting. We love to meet new people in our community who want to to help. As a 100% volunteer group, we do not expect dues to be paid. We simply appreciate anyone who wants to help their neighbors and has the willingness to provide that help. Meetings are generally held at Courtney's Restaurant located at 4066 N Mt Juliet Rd, Mt Juliet, TN 37122.
From October through December, we generally meet once a month. During the other months it is once every quarter, so please watch Our Facebook Page for the most up-to-the-day information.
